What is holiday apartment rental in St. Petersburg?

The apartment rental is a beneficial alternative to local hotels, which are usually fully booked and have very high rates in summer season. The short-term apartment rental service is very popular in St. Petersburg already for 10 years. The apartments are fully equipped for a comfortable living (including kitchen utencils, DVD, computer with Internet (ADSL and Wi Fi), washing machines, local telephone line, hair-dryer, bed linen, towels and so on) and can be rented from 2-3 nights up to several months. Moreover rent is charged for the apartment not for a person, thus several people (your family or friends) can stay in one apartment, and you do not need to book several hotels rooms. The apartments have from 1 to 4 rooms and can accommodate from 1-2 to 11 persons in one apartment, according to its size.

Is the price per apartment or per person?

The price is per apartment per night. In some apartments there are a little supplement per person per night, if the number of persons staying requires additional service expenses.

Are the apartments located at the city center, close to the tourist attractions?

Yes. All our apartments are located at the historical center of Saint Petersburg, close to Nevsky prospect (main street). Many museums and tourist attractions (like Hermitage Museum, Palace Square, St. Isaac Cathedral, Russian Museum, Summer Garden, Mariinsky Theater and others) are within walking distance. Also near our apartments you will find the best theaters, restaurants, bars, discoteques, shopping centers and markets.

Do the apartments have bed sheets, towels, kitchen utencils?

Yes, all the apartments are provided with all these items and they are included to the price.

How a booking is made?

First, you should write me a message, explaning dates of your stay, what kind of apartment you are seeking, or if you already want a specific apartment. After we precise the dates of your trip and the apartment is chosen, I will send you a booking sheet, which includes the data to make a pre-payment and some conditions. We will clear all the details, if you need the Visa Support, transfer, etc.

How a payment can be made?

The deposit (pre-payment) can be paid by PAYPAL secured on-line payment system, or by bank transfer to our account in Spanish bank. Also, it is possible to pay in cash in St. Petersburg to our manager, if the guests have there a local contact. The rest of the payment can be made the same way, beforehand or upon arrival to the apartment. We are sorry, we cannot accept credit cards directly, because it is a private rent.

How will I get a key?

When you arrive, our manager will meet you in the flat and will give you the keys. When you leave the apartment, he (she) will come to take them back. Apartment's address and manager's data will be sent to you beforehand. If you need, an airport or train-station pick-up will be arranged (with additional charge).

Are the apartments safe?

We did not have any security problems. The flats are situated in the city center, in normal areas, like any others. All apartments have one or two metal doors. But you should be careful about people you invite to the apartment, you should invite only people whom you know well and trust.

When the apartments are cleaned?

The guests enter the clean apartment and it is cleaned after they leave (for stays less than 8 nights). For longer stays the flats are cleaned once per week (expection: rent per long period with discounted rate). If you need more cleaning, inform us about it, it is possible with additional charge.

What if something breaks or malfunctions in the apartment?

If something breaks of malfunctions in the apartment while your stay, you should inform us about this immediately (by email or by phone), and we will dispatch a repairman immediately to fix the problem. If the problem can't be fixed in a reasonable amount of time we will relocate you to another apartment of equivalent or better standard.

How many days would you suggest me to stay in St. Petersburg as a tourist?

Of course, each person has his individual rhythm to travel. But, bearing in mind a number of historical monuments, museums, excursiones and interesting things in St. Petersburg and nearby, I would advice you to spend 4-8 days to see and enjoy them with tranquillity. You can read more about Saint Petersburg and what is possible to do there in our practical guide. If you can stay only 2-4 days and want to see the maximum, the best is to hire a personal tour-guide in St. Petersburg, who could make an individual program of visits and tours for you.

The Visa can be obtained at the nearest Russian Consulate in your country. Usually, the documents they will ask you to present are: 1. Passport. 2. 1-2 photos. 3. How I can travel between Moscow and St. Petersburg?

There are three major options:

1. Overnight train with either first class 2-berth cabin or second class 4-berth cabin. Most trains leave at 23.00-24.00 and arrive at 7.30 – 8.30 next morning. In the most of the trains there is no shower so think about an early check-in in your accommodation if you need a shower. The best trains are expensive, especially if you travel at 2-berth cabin.
2. Daily express trains (from 3 hours 45 minutes to 5,5 hours). These high-speed trains are called "Sapsan", they have seats. The scenery is a forest all trip long. The agency of our collegues can assist you to purchase your train tickets for Russian trains, in advance or in St. Petersburg. Some trains have electronic tickets.
3. Airplane. It takes only 1 hour to fly from Moscow to St. Petersburg but another 2 hours to get to the airport in Moscow and another hour to get to the city from the airport in St. Petersburg (and the cost of the transportation, if you use a taxi). The air-tickets are not expensive, can be cheaper than train and you can buy them on-line at many international websites that sell such tickets.
